STEVE GILLEY - ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Steve Gilley is a Louisiana boy through and through. He was born and raised in Shreveport, LA where he graduated from Southwood High School in 1975. He grew up at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA and as a young seven-year-old boy trusted Jesus to be his Lord and Savior.

While in college, he surrendered to the gospel ministry at the age of 21 and has served on various staff positions in 9 churches for over 42 years. Steve earned his bachelor’s degree from Northeast Louisiana University and he earned his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Steve has served at First Baptist Minden from 2013 – present and serves as Associate Pastor ministering to all adults from college age to Senior Adults.

Steve is married to Sherri Gilley for 36 years and has two daughters, Bethany and Emily who are now married and he now has 4 grandchildren, 2 girls and 2 boys.

Steve loves the privilege of serving God’s people and helping them to grow in their faith. He also loves missions and has traveled to places in Africa, Central America and to the Caribbean. He also enjoys his family and also enjoys woodworking as his hobby.
